1. General provisions
This Cookie Policy explains how SIA LatSeller uses cookies and similar technologies on the LatSeller website.
The Policy applies to the LatSeller website and its related user functions, including registration, authentication, viewing and posting listings, the personal account, favorites, messages, search, maps and embedded video content.

2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the user's browser.
They may be used to maintain the user session, authenticate users, ensure security, save selected settings and provide functions requested by the user.
Some cookies remain valid only until the browser is closed. Others are retained for a specified period or until the user deletes them.
3. Categories of cookies used
3.1. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies ensure the operation of the website, security, the user session and the performance of functions expressly requested by the user.
Without them, certain LatSeller functions may operate incorrectly or be unavailable.
Separate consent is not requested for necessary cookies; however, the user may delete them through the browser settings. In that case, some website functions may stop working.
3.2. Preference cookies
Preference cookies save the selected language, the way listings are displayed, the geographical area, the state of interface elements and other user settings.
They are set only after the user consents to the “Preferences” category.
The user may reject them or subsequently withdraw consent through the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.
3.3. External content
Google Maps and YouTube are optional external services.
Each service has a separate consent toggle. Until the relevant consent is obtained, external content is not loaded and the user's browser does not send requests to these services.
LatSeller does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies on the public part of the website.

Some of the listed cookies are set only when the corresponding function is used.

Preference cookies are not used until the user's consent has been obtained.
6. Storage of the user's choice
The user's choice concerning cookies and external content is stored in the following cookies:
latseller_consent_version;latseller_consent_preferences;latseller_consent_google;latseller_consent_youtube.
These cookies are necessary so that the website can remember the choice made and does not request it every time a page is opened.
They are stored for up to 180 days. After that period expires, the website may ask the user to make a choice again.
The current consent system does not use localStorage to store the user's choice.
The previously used latseller_cookie_accepted key is no longer used and is removed by the new consent system if it remains in the browser.
7. Google Maps
Google Maps may be used to display the location of a listing and provide other mapping functions.
Before the user gives consent:
- Google Maps resources are not loaded in the browser;
- the browser does not send requests to Google Maps;
- instead of a map, a message inviting the user to allow external content may be displayed.
After consent, the user's browser may establish a direct connection to Google services. Google may receive the IP address, browser data, information about the page visited and interaction with the map, and may use its own cookies or similar technologies.
The names and retention periods of Google technologies are determined by Google and may change independently of LatSeller.
Consent to Google Maps may be withdrawn through the “Cookie settings” link.
8. YouTube
The user may add an external link to a YouTube video to a listing.
Before the user gives consent:
- the embedded video is not loaded;
- preview images and other external YouTube resources are not loaded;
- the browser does not send requests to YouTube.
After consent, the user's browser may establish a direct connection to YouTube and Google. These services may receive the IP address, technical browser data, information about the page visited and interaction with the video, and may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
The names and retention periods of YouTube and Google technologies are determined by the relevant providers and may change independently of LatSeller.
Consent to YouTube may be withdrawn through the “Cookie settings” link.
9. Analytics and marketing cookies
As of the latest update of this Policy, LatSeller does not use the following on the public part of the website:
- analytics cookies;
- advertising cookies;
- marketing trackers;
- technologies that profile user behavior for advertising purposes.
If such technologies are added in the future, this Policy and the consent interface must be updated before their use begins. If consent is required by law, the relevant technologies must not be loaded before it is obtained.
10. Managing cookies and withdrawing consent
On the first visit, the user may:
- allow external content;
- reject optional cookies;
- open detailed settings;
- separately allow or prohibit preference cookies;
- separately allow or prohibit Google Maps;
- separately allow or prohibit YouTube.
The choice may be changed or withdrawn at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
The user may also delete cookies through the browser settings. After cookies have been deleted, the website may ask the user to make a choice again.
Blocking or deleting necessary cookies may result in the user being logged out, unfinished actions being lost or certain functions becoming unavailable.
11. Browser settings
Most browsers allow users to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete individual or all cookies;
- block cookies;
- prohibit third-party cookies;
- delete cookies when the browser is closed.
The procedure for managing cookies depends on the browser and device used.
Browser settings operate independently of LatSeller settings and may prevent user-selected functions from working.
12. Changes to the Policy
SIA LatSeller may update this Policy when laws, website functions, cookies used, external services or the consent mechanism change.
The current version is published on the LatSeller website with the date of the latest update.
If changes materially affect the user's choice, the website may request consent again.
